Job description

Description

Amazon's North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to be a trusted finance partner supporting operational and functional leaders. Amazon operates the most complex retail networks in the world, delivering billions of packages to hundreds of millions of homes and businesses annually. Come be part of this tremendous organization and join a dedicated team committed to operational and financial excellence where you will focus on the inputs, think like an owner and where every day is Day One

Key job responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end financial reporting for your business area, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external policies while mentoring team members on reporting best practices.

  • Build and maintain financial models and analyses that support operational and growth decisions, presenting findings and recommendations to leaders in clear, concise narratives.

  • Identify and resolve complex data integrity issues, design improved controls to address emerging risks, and develop scalable and auditable data analysis processes.

  • Lead individual projects from start to finish — managing timelines, setting priorities, and collaborating across teams to deliver results while removing roadblocks proactively.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, automate, or scale finance tools and processes across teams, leveraging best practices and technology to improve efficiency.

A day in the life

You might start your morning reviewing variance analyses and preparing a financial narrative for an upcoming leadership review. By midday, you are partnering with business stakeholders to pressure-test assumptions in a new investment proposal, building a model that captures multiple scenarios. In the afternoon, you collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine a control process or mentor a colleague on reporting methodology. Throughout it all, you balance deep analytical work with strategic conversations that keep the business moving forward.

  • Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications
  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
