Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for the North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance team. You will partner with site leaders across the US Amazon Robotics Sortable Network, build financial models, and deliver insights to improve costs and customer experiences.

In this role, you will own financial reporting, drive controllership, and develop scalable data analyses to support leadership decisions and operational improvements across the fulfillment network.

You know your business and proactively identify opportunities to decrease cost and/or improve customer and employee experience. You leverage appropriate resources to deep dive and make recommendations that influence leaders. You formulate how to deliver improvements and execute across the entire network of fulfillment centers. You understand controllership and are working to increase your knowledge here.

Key job responsibilities

Business Finance Support

Use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyze business problems with limited guidance. Draw conclusions and make recommendations that deliver results and drive improvements. Independently align financial and operational analyses with your business partners, challenging business partner assumptions when necessary. Proactively identify opportunities to resolve finance defects and improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes across teams and organizations.

Controllership

Own the financial reporting for a business area and may supervise or teach others in areas of financial reporting. Identify and solve complex data integrity issues and collaborate with stakeholders on resolution, insisting on the highest standards. Develop and execute data analysis processes that are scalable and auditable.

Communication

Intuitively utilize active listening skills to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner. Adjusting your style based on audience, to articulate complex finance issues. Create effective business partnership with Site Leaders, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance during unexpected events.

About The Team

This role will partner closely with a broad range of Senior Leaders in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Accounting, HR and Technology. This position plays a critical role as a financial advocate and business partner. This role will design, develop, and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience


• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience


• 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience


• Bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience


• MBA, or CPA


• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
