The expected salary range for this position is $80,170.00 - $94,197.40. Employees in specific high cost of labor locations in the United States (such as San Francisco, CA and Seattle, WA) may qualify for a geographic differential. Overview

In this Financial Analyst role, you will serve in a dual capacity as a ministry-wide financial reporting leader and trusted financial business partner to assigned departments. You will be responsible for delivering timely, accurate and meaningful financial reporting that enables ministry leadership to understand organizational performance, while also partnering closely with department leaders to provide financial analysis, planning and decision support. A primary responsibility of this role is leading the preparation, analysis, and communication of monthly financial results across the ministry. This includes developing executive-level reports, dashboards, presentations, and variance analyses that provide insight into financial performance, key trends, risks, and opportunities across the ministry. You will translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable information that supports leadership decision-making. In your business partner capacity, you will build strong relationships with assigned department leaders, serving as a trusted advisor on financial matters. You will lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning efforts, provide analysis for strategic and operational decisions, and help leaders understand the financial implications of business initiatives.

  • Act as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children.

  • Commit to and prioritize child protection considerations in all decision‑making, tasks and activities across the ministry.
  • Abide by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct.
  • Report any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately support responses to incidents if they occur.
  • Prepare executive‑level reports and presentations for the ministry and departmental leadership, providing actionable insights, explaining performance drivers and recommending actions to improve future outcomes.
  • Reporting responsibilities include financial results, operational metrics, staffing, compensation, capital expenditures and other ad‑hoc reporting as needed.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial reporting and related data.
  • Lead the annual budget and mid‑year forecasting processes for assigned business functions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather inputs, evaluate assumptions, analyze data and prepare recommendations for review and approval.
  • Serve as the primary finance business partner for assigned business functions.
  • By building trusted relationships and collaborative partnerships with business leaders, you will provide financial insight and decision support, helping leaders understand the financial impact of key decisions while promoting financial stewardship and accountability.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Systems Team to ensure the accuracy, integrity and effectiveness of Adaptive Planning and Office Connect data and reporting.
  • Partner on report development, data validation, system testing and process improvements to support accurate, reliable and timely financial reporting.
  • Conduct research and stay abreast of economic trends and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects and processes as well as updating management and colleagues to assure successful and effective financial planning.
  • Consult with users across the ministry to develop, publish and enhance reporting solutions that support effective decision‑making.
  • Deliver reporting and analytics with a high degree of accuracy, consistency, timeliness and customer focus.
  • Work individually and cross‑functionally on teams to conduct financial analysis projects such as creating financial models of "what if" scenarios for future planning decisions.
  • Evaluate and analyze issues such as capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, operating records and financial statements.
  • May coach other financial analysts and related staff concerning technical finance issues.
What Do You Bring?
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant finance experience in a corporate environment.
  • Experience preparing executive‑level reports, dashboards and presentations that translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Experience serving as a financial business partner to department leaders through budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, performance analysis and strategic planning.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and stakeholders while managing competing priorities.
  • Strong systems acumen with the ability to leverage planning and reporting tools effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy, integrity and quality while managing complex datasets and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and effectively to both financial and non‑financial audiences.
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning and Office Connect is preferred.
