Progress Software Corporation in Burlington, MA is seeking a Financial Analyst II to be at the center of our growth strategy, building acquisition models, forecasting expenses, and delivering actionable insights for senior leadership.

You will partner with the EVP of Corporate Development, manage complex data, and help shape strategic initiatives while incorporating evolving technologies and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a corporate finance setting.
• Bachelor’s Degree with major in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including the ability to manage large data workbooks.
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, ambition, and a drive to learn and share knowledge.
• Analytical mindset with clear communication skills to articulate objectives and present findings.
• Previous experience in planning, analysis, and reporting for multinational organizations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain acquisition-related financial models, including ARR, Billings & Revenue, operating expenses, and interpretation of various financial aspects
• Act as the primary finance business partner to the EVP of Corporate Development, including expense forecasting and accruals for acquisition-related expenses
• Contribute to executive-level presentations and financial analyses for senior leadership
• Lead and support special financial projects, strategic initiatives, and ad hoc reporting as needed
• Explore and incorporate AI tools to gain efficiencies for M&A diligence, planning, and repeatable processes
