Job description

Join to apply for the Financial Analyst I Generational Wealth role at ESL Federal Credit Union.

Schedule: This position is remote eligible for up to 40% of the time. Hours are typically Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.

Hours: 40 hours per week.

Pay: Starting Pay: $38.94 per hour. Pay Range: $34.53 - $43.53 per hour.

Purpose: This position in our Community Impact group supports financial analysis and decision-making, including financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, ROI estimates, cost tracking, reporting, and data management.

Accountabilities:

1. Support financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for Community Impact.
2. Develop financial forecasts for budgets, operating plans, and fundraising.
3. Analyze modeling assumptions, cash flow, financial statement actuals, and other analyses.
4. Maintain data validity checks and resolve data issues.
5. Prepare financial reports for management and the board.
6. Support annual audits with required reports and information.
7. Manage financial subsidy programs supporting homeownership development.
8. Collaborate with CDFIs, developers, nonprofits, and government partners to increase housing supply.
9. Monitor investments, grants, and opportunities related to homeownership programs.
10. Support fundraising activities with budgets, proformas, and projections.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, statistics, or related field, or 4 years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in finance or real estate-related roles.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong math and analytical aptitude.
• Alignment with ESL’s core values, mission, and vision.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Real Estate.
• MBA or Finance degree.
• Experience in real estate, cash management, or financial analysis.
• Knowledge of community development and affordable housing.
• Understanding of relevant regulations and compliance.
• Experience in nonprofit financial management.
• Self-motivated with the ability to handle complex tasks independently.
• Familiarity with Rochester community and real estate market.
