AZZ Inc. in Fort Worth, TX, invites an experienced Financial Analyst to join our corporate finance team.

You will support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for the Metals Coatings division, partnering with plant managers and corporate finance to drive informed decisions. The role offers exposure to FP&A, accounting, cost management, and strategic finance, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in accounting and/or public accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial reporting.
• Experience with Essbase/Hyperion or similar financial reporting and planning systems preferred.
• Working knowledge of large ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent platforms.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify financial trends, investigate variances, and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and seek guidance when needed.
• Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and finance functions.
• Up to 15% travel required, may include international.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, financial statements, revenue and expense analyses, projections, and management presentations.
• Assist with annual budgets, periodic forecasts, financial projections, and analysis of actual results compared with budget, forecast, and prior-year performance.
• Monitor division and plant-level financial results, identify trends and variances, and recommend opportunities to improve profitability, control costs, and increase efficiency.
• Work with plant managers, division leadership, and internal customers to explain financial and statistical results, answer questions, and support business decisions.
• Assist with the month-end close process, financial statement preparation, account analysis, and resolution of reporting questions from plant locations and other stakeholders.
• Maintain and support the Essbase/Hyperion database, ensure consistency between financial reporting systems and the Oracle general ledger, and help improve reporting accuracy and processes.
• Identify relevant business trends, competitive developments, and financial risks or opportunities, presenting findings and recommendations to leadership.
• Evaluate operating expenses, revenue drivers, margins, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for financial and operational improvement.
• Support financial evaluations of capital expenditures, return on investment, and other business initiatives as needed.
• Build knowledge across accounting, FP&A, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and other finance functions through collaboration with division and corporate teams.
• Perform additional financial analyses and projects as assigned.
