LV Petroleum LLC in Las Vegas, NV, is seeking a Financial Analyst, FP&A to join our corporate Finance team. This full-time, on-site role supports budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and performance analysis across our growing locations.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of financial analysis experience, strong Excel and modeling skills, and a keen interest in working with operational and financial data to drive business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a finance-related field
• 1-3 years of financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or BI experience
• Strong Excel proficiency (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts, modeling)
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or ERP systems is a plus
• Solid understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and key metrics
• Oil & gas or energy industry exposure is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans
• Perform monthly variance analysis comparing actuals to budget/forecast and explain drivers
• Assist in preparing and updating forecasts with business assumptions, trends, and operational inputs
• Participate in capital planning, evaluate projects, prepare AFE requests, track costs vs budget
• Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, ROI, and scenario analysis
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management on performance and capital allocation
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses on cost optimization, pricing, inventory, and project performance
• Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to gather data
• Help maintain FP&A tools and templates (Excel, Power BI)
• Participate in process automation and long-term strategic planning initiatives

LV Petroleum is seeking a Financial Analyst, FP&A to join our corporate Finance team in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a full-time, on-site position supporting financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and performance analysis across our growing portfolio of operating locations.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of relevant financial analysis experience, strong Excel and financial modeling skills, and an interest in working directly with operational and financial data.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans
• Perform monthly variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecast, explaining key drivers and recommending corrective actions
• Assist in the preparation and updating of financial forecasts, incorporating business assumptions, market trends, and operational inputs specific to petroleum operations
• Participate in capital planning activities, including the evaluation of capital projects, preparation of authorization for expenditure (AFE) requests, and tracking of project costs versus budget
• Build and maintain financial models to support forecasting, capital investment decisions, ROI analysis, and scenario modeling
• Prepare clear and accurate financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for management regarding performance, forecasts, and capital allocation
• Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis on topics such as cost optimization, pricing, inventory management, and capital project performance
• Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to gather accurate data for forecasting and capital planning processes
• Help maintain and improve FP&A tools and templates (Excel, Power BI, etc.) used for budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning
• Participate in special projects such as process automation, investment analysis, or long-term strategic planning initiatives

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, FP&A, accounting, or business intelligence
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, charts, and financial modeling)
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or ERP systems is a plus
• Solid understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and key financial metrics
• Previous exposure to the oil & gas or energy industry is preferred but not required

Location & Employment Requirements

• This position requires working on-site at our Las Vegas corporate office. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available
• Applicants must currently reside in the Las Vegas metropolitan area or have a confirmed plan to relocate before their start date
