Job summary

McDermott Will & Schulte is seeking a Financial Analyst, FP&A to prepare standard and ad hoc financial reports for practice group leaders and senior partners. You will support monthly reporting, design the reporting package, and extract data from the firm’s systems.

Strong Excel, analytical skills, and discretion are essential. The role involves collaboration with finance teams, compliance with procedures, and participation in budgeting and data integrity efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 1–3 years of finance, accounting or consulting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare standard and ad hoc financial reports summarizing KPIs and profitability at multiple levels.
  • Support monthly financial reporting package design and reviews with senior management.
  • Configure data extraction from the firm’s financial systems and troubleshoot inquiries.
  • Audit financial data for accuracy and compliance with SOPs.
  • Assist with annual budgeting and analysis of lateral hires.
  • Support maintenance of financial software and reporting tools.
