AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Financial Analyst Energy in Oak Ridge, TN to join our finance team. You will partner with finance, operations, and administration to ensure efficient, profitable performance through analytical insights and robust budgeting and forecasting processes. The role requires 5+ years of financial analysis, proficiency in Excel/Word/PowerPoint, and strong communication.

Experience with Deltek Costpoint and GAAP knowledge are preferred. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in business, accounting or finance.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial analysis or related field.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform complex analyses and address complex transactions and business situations.
• Ability to collaborate with people on complex business issues.
• Working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint.
• General ledger accounting experience.
• Working GAAP, CAS, or FAR knowledge.
• U.S. citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Works with finance, operational, and administrative organizations to ensure the business operates efficiently and profitably using analytical tools and interpretation of metrics.
• Ensures budgets, forecasts, and financial results align with corporate direction and policy.
• Prepares general ledger reconciliations and journal entries; owns primary month-end processes.
• Reviews and interprets complex financial data from financial and operations leaders.
• Prepares detailed monthly analysis of overhead costs and variances to budgets/forecasts.
• Establishes and maintains a tracking system for efficient monthly analysis.
• Liaises between accounting and operations.
• Develops budgets/forecasts with business groups and reviews actual performance.
• May prepare organizational budgets and forecasts.
• Provides analysis of organizational results of operations.
• May provide general business advice to operations counterparts.
• Evaluates financial statement components and revenue recognition criteria.
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
