Job summary

ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our New Haven, CT team. The role supports budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic financial analysis for the Commercial Segment, collaborating with finance and accounting functions.

Expect to develop models, deliver executive packs, and aid in month-end close and intercompany reconciliations. We value strong Excel and ERP skills, GAAP knowledge, and the ability to influence senior leadership with data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, accounting, or a mix.
• Strong experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and month-end close.
• Proficiency with Power BI, OneStream, Oracle/Hyperion, BI tools, and ERP systems (JDE, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to present to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning.
• Analyze monthly results, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to management.
• Prepare executive reporting packages with commentary on performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Develop financial models and ad hoc analyses for strategic initiatives and pricing decisions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial performance and drive data-driven decisions.
• Drive process improvements and automation to enhance reporting accuracy and scalability.
• Assist in month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Support intercompany allocations and audits; ensure compliance with internal controls.
