Job summary

JLL in Chicago, IL is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Capital Markets team. This role focuses on financial analysis, business partnering, and supporting compensation-related processes with rigor and accuracy.

You will review monthly statements, collaborate with FP&A, Operations, and HR on budgets, and maintain performance dashboards across Local Markets, ensuring accurate accounting entries and ongoing process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with PeopleSoft and Tableau.
• Exposure to capital markets reporting functions.
• Familiarity with Local Market operations and HR compensation processes.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide business partnering support to Local Market Leadership as a trusted financial advisor.
• Review and analyze monthly financial statements, delivering insights and recommendations.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, and HR on annual budget builds and mid-year forecasting.
• Update and improve performance dashboards used across the firm and troubleshoot reports.
• Coordinate with Controllership to ensure accurate reflection of monthly entries.
• Identify control gaps and implement efficiencies and improvements.

Financial Analyst – JLL

What this job involves: We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our Capital Markets team. This role supports capital markets reporting and business partnering, while managing various compensation-related financial processes. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Provide business partnering support to Local Market Leadership, serving as a trusted advisor on financial matters.
• Review and analyze monthly financial statements, delivering insights and recommendations to drive business success.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, and HR on the annual budget build and mid-year forecasting.
• Update, maintain, and improve performance dashboards used throughout the firm, including troubleshooting key internal reports.
• Communicate with the Controllership team to ensure accurate reflection of monthly accounting entries across Local Markets.
• Identify limitations in current controls and processes, and implement efficiencies and solutions as needed.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 2+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Self-starter mindset with the ability to excel in a fast-paced, customer-service-oriented environment. Experience with PeopleSoft and Tableau. Exposure to capital markets reporting functions. Familiarity with Local Market business operations and HR compensation processes. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with advanced knowledge of Excel.
