About the Role:
You will oversee core operational functions for senior housing communities, ensuring that day-to-day activities run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with financial and occupancy goals. Working closely with leadership, you will help optimise performance, support strategic decision-making, and provide stability during a period of potential transition and growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate key operational activities across assigned senior housing communities to ensure consistent, high-quality performance.
- Monitor and support community-level budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, providing clear operational insights to leadership.
- Track and analyse occupancy, revenue, and expense trends, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Collaborate with community management teams to implement operational best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and senior housing industry standards.
- Drive process improvements that streamline workflows, reduce operational risk, and enhance resident and staff experience.
- Provide reliable, proactive support during organisational changes, including potential role restructuring or portfolio expansion.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in operations management or related role, ideally within senior housing, healthcare, or property management.
- Strong financial literacy, with the ability to interpret budgets, P&Ls, and performance reports to inform operational decisions.
- Demonstrated track record of working independently, taking ownership, and delivering results without close supervision.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in complex operational environments.
- Clear, professional communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across diverse teams.
- High level of personal accountability, reliability, and follow-through, with a solutions-focused mindset.
- Experience within senior living organisations such as BrightView, Erickson, or similar operators.
- Familiarity with RIDEA structures and their operational and financial implications.
- Background in multi-site or portfolio-level operations management.
- Exposure to resident-focused service environments where quality and compliance are critical.
- Experience supporting organisations through transition, restructuring, or growth phases.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Additional coursework or certification in senior housing management, property management, or healthcare administration is an advantage.
- Professional certifications related to operations, finance, or senior living (e.g., assisted living administration, property management) are beneficial.
