  • Federal Program Reporting: Ensure advanced or reimbursed Federal funds are accurately coded to correct funding sources and update mandatory tracking logs from initial award through official closure.
  • Prior-Year Closures: Compile open purchase order listings for prior-year Federal programs based on defined chart-fields and actively assist with grant extension requests.
  • Trend Analysis: Generate specialized database queries to extract information, conduct detailed expenditure analyses, and perform ad-hoc evaluations for agency leadership.
  • Univ. owns Invoice Tracking & Vendor Relations: You will oversee the daily coding, tracking, and routing of vendor invoices to Accounts Payable and proactively communicate with vendors regarding any missing documentation.
  • Univ. owns Audit & Risk Management: You will serve as the sole custodian and primary point of contact for all program-specific audits, ensuring seamless documentation delivery to external inspectors.

Job Description

The Financial Management Division at the Georgia Department of Defense is expanding! We serve as the fiscal backbone of our agency, directly responsible to the agency head for all financial, budgeting, and Cooperative Agreement functions. We are currently seeking talented, detail-oriented investment and accounting professionals for two critical paths within our team: Financial Analyst I and Financial Analyst II. Financial Analyst I Salary Range $60,000-$65,000 Schedule Hybrid Work Schedule Core Mission Act as a key operational analyst focused on budget monitoring, vendor invoice routing, and accounts receivable (A/R) reconciliation. Financial Analyst II Salary Range $68,000 – $72,000 Schedule Hybrid Work Schedule Core Mission Act as a key fiscal advisor focused on advanced forecasting, statistical trend modeling, and leading external audit compliance. Ideal Candidate A strategic thinker with ERP system experience who thrives on compliance tracking and high-impact reporting.

What You Will Do

No matter which path matches your career goals, you will work closely with senior leadership—including the Supervisor and Agency Budget Director—to translate raw financial data into structured, strategic reports.

Shared Core Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
