Job summary

Public Consulting Group LLC is seeking a financial analyst to gather and analyze financial information, design data visualizations, and develop forecasting analyses for planning needs.

The role collaborates with teams, supports monthly reporting, and ensures GAAP compliance while contributing to process improvements. Hybrid work supported, with 1–2 days in the office; compensation ranges with benefits such as 401k, PTO, parental leave, and more.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
  • 1+ years’ experience of financial analysis or relevant academic experience.
  • Strong analytical and organization skills, with solid communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares forecasts and analyses for financial planning needs.
  • Develops financial prompts or queries for analysis of accounting issues.
  • Assists with the design and production of monthly reports.

  • Ensures GAAP compliance and assists with new accounting standards.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Gathers and analyzes financial information on expenses and revenues.
  • Designs and enhances data visualizations for reporting
  • Develops simple analysis of economic indicators in order to prepare forecasts and analyses supporting the needs of financial planning.
  • Develops financial prompts or queries used for analysis of accounting and business wide issues.
  • Assists with the design and production of monthly reports.
  • Supports business unit employees through analysis of financial data.
  • Ensures company compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and assist with interpretation and implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Ensures compliance with accounting policies and procedures and recommend accounting process improvements.
  • Special projects as assigned.
Required Skills
  • Excellent organizational, oral presentation and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze and organize data.
  • Ability to work both in a team situation and autonomously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, in particular Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot
  • Knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI, or other data visualization tools preferred
  • Highly Effective Ability to prioritize and manage multiple activity streams.
  • Ability to work effectively with, and communicate with all levels of management.

Working Conditions

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides a reasonable range of compensation for this role. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.

Range: $55,000 - $65,000
