Job summary

Adient plc is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Greenfield Facility plant’s financial activities and accounting processes. The role includes GL accounting, reconciliations, month-end close, and internal controls aligned with SOX.

The candidate will work with ERP systems like SAP and HFM, assist audits, and coordinate intercompany invoicing. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years financial analyst experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Extensive use of Excel to summarize data and present to non-financial audience.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP; payroll tools like ADP is a big plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Controller with plant financial activities including GL accounting and reconciliations.
  • Support month-end closing, prepare manual journal entries and cost allocations.
  • Maintain internal controls documentation related to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Support internal and external audit activities.
  • Reconcile intercompany invoicing with trading partners and IC accounting.
  • Monitor receivables and payables; address issues as needed.
  • Maintain fixed asset folders tracking CAR to CIP to assets register.
  • Track program launch expenses and report to Business Unit and Plant Management.
  • Support inventory controls including annual physical inventory and perpetual analysis.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives and monthly/outlook planning.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Financial Analyst Job Duties
  • The Financial Analyst will support and promote a safe work environment at the plant.
  • Assist the Controller with plant financial activities including GL accounting and reconciliations.
  • Support the month-end closing process including preparation of manual Journal Entries and ensuring appropriate cost allocations.
  • Maintain internal controls processes and documentation related to Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
  • Support internal and external audit activities.
  • Reconcile intercompany invoice activity with trading partners and IC Accounting.
  • Monitor receivables and payables activity and address issues as necessary.
  • Maintain fixed asset folders to track capital projects from CAR to CIP to Assets Register.
  • Track program launch expenses and report out to Business Unit and Plant Management.
  • Support inventory controls including annual physical inventory to ensure accurate inventory balances and perpetual analysis.
  • Support and promote Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Support controller in preparation of monthly outlook requirements as well as annual and long-range plans.
  • Cost accounting functions: BOM review, cost roll-ups, inventory analysis.
  • Annual standard material, labor, burden, overhead cost setting.
  • Work with commercial team to ensure correct pricing.
  • Maintain Payroll Accuracy for processing both hourly and salary.
  • Matching Invoices with PO's
Education / Experience / Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years financial analyst experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Extensive use with excel, able to summarize financial data and present to non-financial audience.
  • Experienced with ERP systems - (SAP & HFM are a plus)
  • Experienced with Payroll - ADP is a big plus.
  • Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail and accuracy required.
  • Excellent communication skills required and needs to be self-driven, team oriented, and professional.
  • Ability to take ownership of ambiguous situations and projects.
