Qualifications

• Nonprofit experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications incl. Access, Great Plains and Raiser’s Edge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the month end closing process for Central Service and related organizations; prepare entries, bank reconciliations, financial statements and analyses.
• Prepare entries, schedules and reconciliations for investment activities; assess changes with external market factors.
• Manage long-term debt schedules, reconciliations and analyses; ensure proper control and accounting for payments/balances.
• Manage and approve grant expenses/payables and related reports/schedules.
• Assist in reviewing and collecting outstanding Accounts Receivable for cash flow.
• Analyze actual vs. budget and communicate variances with divisional personnel.
• Assist in annual budget process and audit requirements for all organizations.

Job description

The Part-Time Financial Analyst is responsible for the financial accounting, analysis, and reporting functions associated with Central Services and all organizations affiliated with the Corporate Sole. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial records and reporting while supporting the organization's financial operations and strategic objectives.. This is a benefit-eligible position.

Essential Functions:

• Coordinate the month end closing process for Central Service and other organizations associated with the corporate sole. This includes preparation and control of essential monthly entries, bank reconciliations, preparation of financial statements and account analysis to assure an accurate and timely reporting process.
• Prepare all entries, schedules and reconciliation related to investment activities for all organizations. Perform analysis of changes in investment documenting additions/withdrawals and using external market factors to assess the reasonableness of investment changes. Review specific transactions to ensure proper control of specific designated investments or restricted investments.
• Manage all long-term debt schedules, reconciliation and analysis to ensure proper control and accounting for all payments/balances.
• Manage and approve grant expense/payable transactions along with maintaining related reports/schedules.
• Assist in the review and collection of outstanding Accounts Receivable for cash flow purposes.
• Manage the analysis of actual vs. budget analysis and interact with Divisional personnel in understanding variances.
• Assist in annual budget process and audit requirements for all the organizations associated with the Corporate Sole.

Position Qualifications:

• Possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting with a minimum of 5 years experience.
• CPA and or a CPA candidate with public audit experience is preferred.
• Experience in a medium to large-sized organization. Nonprofit experience is a plus.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• A self-starter who can work independently to perform various accounting processes along with being a contributing member of a team.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and analytical skills are a must.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a must. Access, Great Plains, and Raisers Edge.

Pay Range: $56,160, Annualized ($45.00 , hourly for 24 hours per week)
