Finance & Operations Analyst – Healthcare Sector
Who We Are
Our client is a rapidly expanding healthcare services group supporting a multi-site network of primary care providers. With over 50 clinicians and 150 support team members, their mission is to enable better health outcomes through operational excellence. They are now looking to add a finance-savvy professional to help guide decision-making through accurate reporting and thoughtful analysis.
About the Role
This is a hybrid finance and operations role designed for someone who enjoys diving deep into data while maintaining a solid grasp of accounting fundamentals. You’ll work closely with leadership to evaluate business performance, support strategic planning, and ensure day-to-day financial integrity. Your contributions will directly impact the growth and sustainability of the organization.
Your Core Focus Areas:
Performance Monitoring & Financial Insights (~50%)
- Build and refine internal reports and visual tools to track performance metrics.
- Analyze patient flow, revenue cycle efficiency, and reimbursement patterns.
- Support forecasting models and annual budgeting efforts.
- Translate data into clear recommendations to enhance profitability and reduce inefficiencies.
Core Accounting Functions (~40%)
- Assist in the monthly close cycle, including preparing reconciliations and journal entries.
- Compile core financial reports and assist with audit preparation.
- Oversee key processes (payables, receivables, ledgers) in coordination with the finance team.
- Help manage fixed assets and tax planning schedules.
- Recommend improvements to financial workflows and systems integration (billing, reporting, collections).
- Collaborate on tech upgrades and process automation related to financial systems and EHR platforms.
What We’re Looking For:
- Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or a business-related field.
- 1+ years in a finance, analysis, or accounting role (bonus if within a clinical/healthcare setting).
- Advanced Excel skills and working familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred).
- Bonus: Experience with EHR tools or familiarity with healthcare revenue cycles.
- Someone curious, driven, and eager to improve both financial outcomes and operational practices.
