Job summary

KASCO is seeking a financial analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for manufacturing operations and field service. The role reports to the CFO and is based onsite at the St. Louis headquarters.

The candidate will prepare financial statements, analyze variances, and develop dashboards for leadership. Strong GAAP/SOX knowledge and 3+ years of experience are required to drive cost insights and informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting/financial reporting.
• Strong GAAP and SOX knowledge/experience.
• Organized, systematic, and able to develop strategic plans.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and variance reports.
• Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Identify trends, discrepancies, and cost-savings opportunities.
• Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate financial metrics to leadership.
• Assist in budgeting for manufacturing operations and field services.
• Maintain and update financial forecasts and analyze variances.

We also offer a vast range of butcher supplies, seasonings, replacement parts, and repair services to grocers, restaurants, and meat, seafood, deli and bakery departments.

Overview

In this role, you will support our financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions across our manufacturing operations and field service technicians. You will play a key role in helping management make informed business decisions through accurate financial data and insights. This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and is located onsite at our St. Louis, MO headquarters.

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and variance reports
• Analyze financial performance against budgets and forecasts
• Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings
• Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate financial metrics to leadership

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in developing annual budgets for manufacturing operations and field services
• Maintain and update financial forecasts based on operational activity
• Analyze budget variances and provide explanations and recommendations

Operational Finance Support

• Track and reconcile manufacturing costs, labor expenses, and field service billing
• Monitor project profitability and job costing accuracy
• Support inventory valuation and cost accounting processes
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable reconciliation

General Accounting Support

• Process and verify transactions and journal entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Support audit preparation and external reporting
• Maintain financial documentation and records

Data Management

• Maintain financial databases and spreadsheets
• Ensure accuracy of data input and reporting
• Assist with implementation of accounting software upgrades

Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, & Skills

Required
