Job summary

Entrust Corporation in Minnesota is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team. You will partner with the COO and leaders across Information Technology and Software Operations, translating financial data into insights that drive planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities include forecasting, budgeting, monthly close, ad hoc analysis, and presenting results to senior executives. Strong accounting foundation and ERP experience are required; Oracle preferred.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • 5–7 years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint) and ERP experience (preferably Oracle).
  • Hands-on budgeting and forecasting experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analytics to business leaders, identify key drivers, and offer recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Perform ad hoc financial modeling and analysis to support revenue and cost scenarios.
  • Develop monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range plans to provide operational insight.
  • Evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual operating results and forecasts; prepare comprehensive reporting packages for leaders.
  • Support the preparation of departmental budgets; provide feedback on variances and actions to control spend within budget.
  • Complete month- and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and audit schedules.
  • Plan and lead projects within the finance group and across the organization.
  • Respond to internal and external questions with timely, accurate resolutions.

Overview

Entrust is an identity-centric security solutions company with a global presence. The Senior Financial Analyst is a member of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team and partners with the Chief Operating Officer and their direct reports. The role focuses on financial reporting, forecasting, planning, and analysis related to the Chief Operating Officer’s Information Technology and Software Operations organizations. A key objective is transforming financial data into information that supports the company’s financial planning and decision-making processes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide business leaders with analytics, identify key drivers, and offer recommendations to improve financial performance and provide early warnings of potential issues.
  • Perform ad hoc financial modeling and analysis to support revenue and cost scenarios.
  • Develop monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range plans to provide operational insight.
  • Evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual operating results and forecasts; prepare comprehensive reporting packages and presentations for business leaders.
  • Support the preparation of departmental budgets; provide feedback to department leaders on variances and recommended actions to control spend within budget.
  • Complete month- and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and audit schedules.
  • Plan and lead projects within the finance group and across the organization.
  • Research and respond to internal and external questions with timely, accurate, and professional resolutions.
Basic Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5–7 years of accounting or finance experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint) and ERP experience (preferably Oracle)
  • Hands-on experience with budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

  • Tableau dashboard experience
  • SAP Business Objects experience
  • Planful system experience
  • Coupa tool experience
  • Solid accounting/GAAP knowledge with emphasis on project accounting and revenue recognition rules
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong initiative, ability to manage multiple projects, and timely, accurate delivery
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
What We Offer
  • Compensation range: The anticipated starting base pay for this position is $100,423 to $147,287 per year (location-dependent).
  • Eligibility for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
