Position Details: Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America), Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40, Department: Health Economics & Strategy, Required to be on‑site for onboarding.
Overview of Position
The Financial Analyst provides financial analysis support to Genesis HealthCare System, serving as a steward of financial and statistical data used by key stakeholders to make critical decisions. The role interacts with various departments and ensures the accuracy and integrity of reported data in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Essential Duties
- Work in conjunction with the data management team for statistical gathering, reporting, and benchmarking information compilation.
- Support long‑range financial planning.
- Perform financial analysis, modeling, and reporting related to project/business feasibility.
- Conduct moderate to high‑complexity financial analysis to provide actionable, accurate, and high‑integrity data.
- Communicate analytical findings and value‑added information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Perform variance analysis of budget versus actual monthly reports.
- Incorporate cost accounting analysis into routine reporting to support strategic decision‑making.
- Assist with quarterly bond disclosure documents.
- Maintain credit rating documents and all supporting documentation.
- Prepare, validate, and assimilate reported payroll information for productivity tools.
- Maintain report‑tracking database and complete recurring and ad‑hoc reports for all areas.
- Create and maintain service line reports for regular distribution.
- Identify and implement process‑improvement strategies to produce reports efficiently.
- Ensure data integrity by validating all data received, retrieved, and processed before distribution.
- Prepare annual department operating and capital budgets.
- Analyze Lean Six Sigma projects to identify potential cost‑saving benefits.
- Provide coaching and training to promote a team‑oriented environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience of 1 year.
- Strong statistical skills for pulling and organizing data required for financial reporting.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies (required for Health Economics & Strategy).
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficiency in data mining and analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills for creating analysis and presentations.
- Ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks concurrently.
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

- Operate a personal computer for 4–8 hours per day and use standard office equipment.
