Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled BizOps Finance Analyst / Finance professional to join one of our clients based in Redmond WA. Please let me know if you are interested.

Title: BizOps Finance Analyst

City/State: Redmond/WA

Duration: 3 months +

Is Local required? How many days per week required in office? Yes, only local candidates and it require 3-4 days in office

Is client interview required? Yes

This is not a pure technical role, more of a product analyst who can help business/functional users streamlining the process and person should have advanced excel ( macros etc)

Knowledge with VB (Visual basic), Power Query, Excel automate, MS access hand on..

Role and Profile:

We are looking for candidate to help us improve and automatize our pricing process, and while doing so, also streamline our data (product master data, forecast data).

During that period, we are also hoping for that support person to handle the incoming pricing requests (i.e. daily operations).

The pricing process currently can follow two main paths:

• Preparation of product pricing for an already approved price point
• Preparation of product pricing for a new price point

Both paths currently require significant manual efforts, which we believe can largely be automatized.

Our goal for the project would be to have a streamlined process and tooling setup that requires minimal inputs from the responsible user, while still maintaining full transparency over the calculations and allow for analysis (we don’t want to create a black box of pricing).

Finally, since the pricing decision making requires analysis of the overall financial impact, the financial forecast needs to be incorporated into the tool. From that we are hoping that a side-result of the project will be greater ease of scenario modeling outside the pricing process, due to easier access to tables containing forecast data.

Based on the above, the person we are looking for needs to have high proficiency in the following topics:

• Price Setting and Margin based analysis and decision making
• Experience creating streamlined processes coordinating multiple teams around a new toolset
• High technical skills in Excel with special focus on VBA, Excel Automate and Power Query to automatize the process (incl. potentially using tools like MS Access for a streamlined front end to kick-off the process)
• Experience creating structured databases (we are expecting to turn our semi-structured Excel data into properly structured tables in Excel or potentially SQL)
• Project management experience (all the above are our rough requirements, but no final definition or design of the solution has been created yet – the person we’re looking for would need to drive this process while reporting to me and Liam (Sr Director FP&A))
