Job description

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our financial team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting our company’s pricing and revenue management strategies and understanding the product cost structure and identifying cost-saving opportunities for our manufacturing facility. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience and contribute to key financial decisions within our organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Performs monthly and quarterly detailed analysis of sales, synthesizing findings into relevant trends and correlations and assists in the construction and implementation of solutions that drive revenue and margin optimization.
2. Actively participates in the development of customer pricing strategies and tactics for special markets accounts.
3. Collaborates with Sales and Finance and other teams to ensure timely and effective on-boarding, set-up and maintenance of required pricing rules in consistent alignment with commercial contracted commitments.
4. Participates in quantification and impact analysis of existing or proposed pricing policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
5. Fields and resolves inquiries related to pricing, dealer rebates, and customer eligibility.
6. Conducts financial analysis for deal structures inclusive of but not limited to special markets pricing, free goods analysis and samples.
7. Assesses issues related to invoicing, customer setup, pricing or supply issues and determines appropriate solutions.
8. Gathers and analyzes the financial data to understand product cost structure and provides insight into direct overhead / labor and indirect costs.
9. Monitors purchase price variances, investigating significant discrepancies, and preparing detailed reports for review by senior management.
10. Identifies cost-saving opportunities by conducting detailed cost analyses and suggesting strategies to optimize resources and minimize costs.
11. Collaborates with the procurement department to understand supplier contracts and their impact on costs.
12. Documents processes and procedures.
13. Performs any related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
2. A solid mix of understanding of product cost structure, cost analysis, and overall financial analysis.
3. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Power Point with advanced proficiency specifically with Excel.
4. PowerBI, Tableau or other data visualization software experience preferred.
5. Excellent analytical skills with an ability to focus on details.
6. Strong communication and presentation skills.
