Responsibilities

  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
  • Compile financial data from multiple systems and create financial models for decision support
  • Conduct Budget vs Actual analysis on all departments in the business
  • Evaluate new project proposals, including financial modeling of resources, costs, revenue, and ROI
  • Track financial KPIs to monitor company performance against expectations and against the industry as a whole
  • Monitor and report on cash flow and identify fluctuations in forecasts; recommend adjustments to refine models
  • Identify trends and patterns in large datasets to generate insights
  • Develop ad-hoc analytical models to support forecasting, budgeting, and other financial data

Compensation: $75,000 - $115,000 / year

Description

Summary

The Financial Analyst is a self-starter who thrives on turning messy, complex, and multi-source data into clear, decision-ready insight for the VP of Business Analysis and company leadership. This role is built for someone who is naturally curious, eager to learn, and comfortable working through ambiguity to find the signal in the noise. A strong candidate actively leverages modern technology — including AI and automation tools — to work smoother and smarter while taking ownership of problems from raw data all the way through to a polished, well-communicated summary of findings and recommendations.

  • Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking
  • Compile financial data from multiple systems and sources and create financial models for decision support
  • Conduct Budget vs Actual analysis on all departments in the business
  • Evaluate new project proposals, including financial modeling of resources, costs, revenue, and ROI
  • Track financial KPIs to monitor company performance against expectations and against the industry as a whole
  • Monitor and report on cash flow and identify fluctuations in forecasts; recommend adjustments to further refine models
  • Independently investigate incomplete, messy, or conflicting datasets, using judgment and initiative to resolve gaps and reconcile discrepancies
  • Distill complex analysis into clear, concise summaries and recommendations for non- technical stakeholders
  • Proactively identify opportunities to use AI, automation, and other modern tools to streamline reporting and analysis
  • Creates new statistical and visualization methods for highlighting critical variables
  • Develop ad-hoc analytical models to support forecasting, budgeting, and other financial and non-financial data when necessary
  • Identifies trends and patterns in large, unstructured datasets to generate insights
  • Performs ad hoc analysis as required by the VP of Business Analysis
  • Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in accounting, finance, business, or related field
  • At least 2-4 years of related experience/training within finance or accounting with a focus on financial analysis
  • Demonstrated self-starter who takes initiative, seeks out answers independently, and is
  • eager to acquire new knowledge without being asked
  • Must have a proven track record in their ability to handle and prioritize multiple task

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and work management systems such as Slack, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to travel occasionally between Company buildings or work sites, as needed.
  • Strong quantitative and organizational skills are required
  • Must possess the ability to interact effectively with managers, peers, other departments, and all levels of management
  • Strong attention to detail is critical, as well as the ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance assurance
  • Ability to translate data into words and give recommendations to management in order to accomplish the goals of the organization
  • Strong Excel, Microsoft Office, and PowerBI skills
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) for analysis, automation, or reporting strongly preferred
  • Experience with SQL, Python, or similar tools for handling large or messy datasets is a plus

As an exempt employee, you'll receive a competitive salary of $75,000-95,000/year, 11 paid holidays, 120 hours of PTO, 401K, and fully paid health, dental and vision insurance.
