Job summary

Responsibilities
  • Performs market analysis using historical data to forecast market trends and determine market elasticity
  • Market analysis includes understanding the seasonality, marketing programs, capacity constraints, future expansion plans and regulatory changes in order to predict competitor and market growth
  • Works closely with all levels of management to generate and analyze the Annual Capital and Operating Budgets
  • Responsible for all Marketing analysis which includes Direct Mail, Events, Promotions and Player Events
  • Recommendations to Sr. Management on the effectiveness of each program and possible changes
  • Analysis of other projects include research of costs/savings associated with the project and the financial calculations and presentation of the data used to make determinations by management
  • Reviews all aspects of financial statements on a monthly basis for variances to the budget and prior year
  • Responsible for the strict adherence to company policies on the capital expenditure process while ensuring proper analysis and documentation is completed in a timely manner
  • Produces various on‑demand analysis requested by directors in addition to periodic corporate filings i.e., Monthly Roundtable packets, Quarterly Reviews, Monthly Market Reports, etc.

Requirements

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Previous hospitality/gaming experience helpful.
  • Must have broad knowledge of Accounting and Financial Analysis.
  • Experience with computer report writing software highly desirable.
  • Skilled in the use of ACCESS, COGNOS, SQL, Aristocrat Oasis, Kronos, MiCROS, and infinium.
  • Financial modeling experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present to and interact with Senior Management, prioritize projects, and form opinions based on information collected.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, economic research, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable format.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to handle complex financial calculations such as return on investment, current value of future cash flows, and effective interest rate calculations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Education and/or Experience

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field from four‑year college or university preferred. One to two years of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.

Mathematical Skills

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Reasoning Ability

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.
