Job summary

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years corporate accounting experience (or 2–3 years in public accounting).

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in Midstream, Marketing, Energy, or commodity-based businesses.
  • Exposure to forecasting, budgeting, outlook, or planning processes.
  • Experience with inventory valuation or commodity margin analysis.
  • Independent thinker with problem-solving ability.
  • Willingness to work overtime during monthly close.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with emphasis on Midstream & Marketing activities.
  • Interpret large datasets and identify trends in market data.
  • Conduct variance analysis against outlook, budget, and prior periods and communicate drivers to management using dashboards.
  • Support monthly close activities with accruals, estimates, and tie-outs to reflect operational activity.
  • Maintain and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items with Accounting.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance management reporting tools and dashboards.
  • Record and analyze financial data in collaboration with other departments.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests and special projects.
  • Other duties as required.
