Our goal is to meet the highest employer standards by ensuring the health and safety of our employees, protecting the environment and positively impacting our communities where we do business.We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of **Financial Analyst** within our **Accounting Department** group based in **Houston, TX**.**Key Responsibilities:*** Preparing monthly accruals and journal entries* Preparing monthly close schedules and variance reports* Ensuring monthly close deadlines and responsibilities are met* Supporting the monthly outlook and annual budget process* Maintaining and updating financial models to reflect current business conditions* Reviewing financial statements and performing account reconciliations* Analyzing financial statement activity and summarizing for business unit and accounting management* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial information and policy compliance* Assisting with internal and external audit requests, as well as other special projects* Helping and coordinating other duties as required**Required Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, or a related field* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel* Self-motivated with strong work ethic* Ability to interpret and present financial data clearly* Attention to detail and high level of accuracy* Ability to work independently and as part of a team* Ability to work overtime required for monthly closing activities**Desired Qualifications:*** Upstream oil and gas experience* SAP and SAC* OneStream* CPARelocation **will not** be provided.Recruitment Fraud It has come to our attention various individuals and/or organizations are contacting people falsely pretending to recruit on behalf of Oxy.
