Job summary

Bosch in Florence seeks a Financial Analyst to drive financial planning and analysis for key product lines, including cost and profitability initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and utilize SAP CO/PA, SQL, and Excel to forecast, report, and optimize performance across the value streams.

You will build annual plans, quarterly forecasts, and variance analyses to enable data-driven decisions and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s with manufacturing/industry experience as described
  • Advanced MS Excel (Macros) and MS Office proficiency
  • Experience with SQL, VBA and BI systems is preferred
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal and analytical capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Prepare annual business plan, quarterly forecast and monthly results analyses for responsible product areas
  • Measure financial results against plan and analyze variances
  • Prepare variance analyses to support management decisions
  • Use analytical tools to simulate cost and profitability scenarios for transparent stakeholder view
  • Automate standard processes and data mining with customized solutions
  • Partner with value stream leaders on cost reduction projects and cost transparency
  • Track standard cost development for lead product lines
  • Leverage SAP CO & PA for business controlling and CIP improvements

Job Description

The Financial Analyst role is mainly responsible for financial planning and analysis of key product (i.e. electronic steering gears) manufactured and sold in the Florence facility. They will act as a key driver to the successful monitoring, reporting, planning and forecasting of the financial health of the businesses within their area of responsibility. Utilizing the advanced concepts of value-based management, Financial Analysts will be supporting the financial controlling function to recommend measures to achieve planned results. The incumbent will work and interact with cross functional groups and at all levels of management.

Job Description

  • Preparation of annual business plan, quarterly forecast and monthly results analyses for responsible product areas
  • Measuring financial results compared to business plan to analyze variances
  • Preparing variance analyses reports to support commercial management decision making
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools to perform simulations and analysis for differing cost and profitability scenarios to provide a transparent view to the stakeholders for decision making
  • Automation of standard processes and complex data mining requirements utilizing advanced and highly efficient customized solutions
  • Valued business partner for the value stream leaders by participation in cost reduction (RPP) projects as well as by providing cost transparency for their respective cost centers
  • Tracking standard cost development for lead product (key focus product line)
  • Effective and efficient usage of SAP CO & PA module for business controlling
  • Constantly strive for continuous improvement of processes (CIP) within the area of responsibilities
  • Perform other essential and related duties as may be assigned
Qualifications
  • Master’s (Business/Finance/Information Systems) from an accredited institution with minimum 2 yrs. experience in a manufacturing or other relevant industry experience, or a Bachelor’s (Finance/Accounting) from an accredited institution (ex. CHEA) with minimum 4yrs. experience in a manufacturing or other relevant industry experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel (including Macros) and other MS Office applications
  • Experience with SQL database, VBA and other big data languages, preferred
  • Experience with SAP/similar ERP/Business Intelligence (BI) system
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal skills, and analytical capabilities
