Job summary

DTE Energy in Detroit, MI, is seeking a business financial analyst to manage financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting. You will consolidate budgets, analyze performance, and generate reports across corporate systems.

You’ll work independently and in teams to support operations and strategic decisions. Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Business or Liberal Arts and at least three years of accounting or financial systems experience, with Maximo knowledge as a plus.

Hybrid Role:

This role is hybrid, with an established schedule of in‑person work required at an assigned work location. Any remote work is expected to be performed from an employee’s primary residence, unless allowed (or prohibited) through the Company’s remote work guidelines.

Emergency Response:

Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary

Responsible for various business financial processes, including financial planning, forecasting, and consolidating detailed financial budgets. Reports and analyzes business performance and performs system maintenance. Scope and number of processes may vary depending on team.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Liberal Arts
  • Three years of accounting experience in business, public accounting, or financial systems
Other Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Supply Chain
  • Maximo or other work management system experience
  • Accounting systems experience
  • Electrical systems knowledge
Other Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and develop conclusions
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others.
  • Proficient verbal, nonverbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize work independently and to work in teams
  • PC Proficiency, including experience with MS Office Products.
