YES Communities, founded in 2008, owns and operates nearly 300 manufactured housing communities with locations across the United States. YES takes a new approach to manufactured home communities and works to build and maintain an environment in each community that reflects their positive YES attitude.
YES is seeking a Financial Analyst to own investor and external reporting. You will lead responses to our institutional investors, coordinating across teams to deliver accurate, timely, well-supported deliverables. Between reporting cycles, you'll support the annual budget process, forecasting, and financial modeling. This is a highly visible role reporting to the FP&A Manager, ideal for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
- Be the centralized point of contact for investor and external reporting requests — own intake, prioritization, and delivery.
- Manage the recurring investor reporting cycle: reporting calendars, monthly deliverables, and ad hoc requests.
- Coordinate cross-functional responses across Finance, Business Intelligence, Accounting, Operations, and Asset Management.
- Reconcile figures across data sources, identifying root causes and improving data quality at the source.
- Support board materials and executive presentations that explain the story behind the numbers.
- Build and maintain financial models supporting budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, strategic initiatives, and investor reporting.
- Analyze results, variances, and trends, and connect them to the operational drivers behind them.
- Drive continuous improvement by partnering with Business Intelligence to automate reporting, standardize metrics, document processes, and strengthen reporting controls.
- Take on ad hoc analysis and special projects for the FP&A team and senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years in FP&A, investor/financial reporting, corporate finance, or a comparable analytical role.
- Demonstrated financial modeling experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, capital investments, or valuation.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including reconciliations and executive-level presentations.
- Experience working with large datasets using SQL or similar analytical tools; experience with enterprise reporting platforms such as Adaptive, Incorta, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus.
- Strong financial and accounting foundation; a strong communicator able to package complex analysis clearly for financial, non-financial, senior, and external audiences.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a track record of owning deadline-driven deliverables across multiple functions.
- Self-motivated and quick to pick up new tools, technologies, and processes.
- Experience supporting institutional investors or REIT reporting strongly preferred; real estate, manufactured housing, or other real-asset experience a plus.
