Responsibilities

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules in accordance with company accounting policies.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, KPIs, and management reporting packages.
  • Analyze financial results and investigate variances related to manufacturing operations, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Support inventory accounting activities, including physical inventories, cycle counts, reconciliations, and inventory-related reporting.
  • Assist in monitoring spending against approved operating budgets and provide analysis of significant variances.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting activities.
  • Support capital expenditure tracking, reporting, and financial analysis to ensure compliance with approved capital plans.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and finance teams to gather information and support financial decision-making.

The Financial Analyst I supports the manufacturing finance function by providing timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis, and operational support for the Clearwater manufacturing facility. This role assists with financial planning, monthly close activities, inventory accounting, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure reporting. The position partners with finance and operational teams to support informed decision-making, maintain financial controls, and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules in accordance with company accounting policies.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and management reporting packages.
  • Analyze financial results and investigate variances related to manufacturing operations, including material, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Support inventory accounting activities, including physical inventories, cycle counts, reconciliations, and inventory-related reporting.
  • Assist in monitoring spending against approved operating budgets and provide analysis of significant variances.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting activities.
  • Support capital expenditure tracking, reporting, and financial analysis to ensure compliance with approved capital plans.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and finance teams to gather information and support financial decision-making.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field required.
Experience
  • Early-career finance professional with up to 2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance, including internships or co-op experience.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, medical device, pharmaceutical, consumer products, or other regulated industries preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, JD Edwards, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience using financial reporting and analytical tools preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and financial modeling techniques.
  • Foundational knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting principles.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to analyze financial information and communicate findings effectively.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while seeking guidance and support when appropriate.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across functions.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence and data visualization tools preferred.
  • Familiarity with standard cost accounting systems and inventory accounting concepts preferred.
