Job summary

Zekelman Industries' Z Modular division seeks a Financial Analyst in Chandler, AZ to partner with leadership on forecasts, budgets, and analyses for multi-family housing projects. This onsite role reports to the Director of FP&A and focuses on building financial models and evaluating project performance.

Ideal candidate has a Finance/Accounting degree, 2+ years FP&A or accounting experience, strong Excel, ERP experience (D365), and excellent communication with senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in a Financial Analyst, Accounting, or related role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong reporting, presentation, and communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with senior leadership.
• Experience working within ERP systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is a plus.
• Property management, real estate, or construction industry experience is preferred.
• Experience with property management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
• Analyze the financial and operational performance of multi-family housing properties.
• Ensure monthly project costs are recorded accurately and timely.
• Prepare monthly financial results for construction projects and compare actual performance against forecasts and prior periods.
• Investigate financial variances and identify the drivers behind anomalies.
• Build financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range financial plans.
• Develop financial models to forecast business outcomes and profitability.
• Present analysis, findings, and recommendations to various levels of management and leadership.
• Design and implement process improvements and automation solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Support monthly business performance reporting and leadership presentations.
• Assist with additional FP&A and strategic finance initiatives as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
