Job summary

Job description

Position Information

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing financial and analytical support to the psychiatry & neuroscience department and other clinical departments as needed. Collaborating with the Finance and Administrative Officer (FAO), the incumbent will assist in reviewing budgets, conducting reconciliation activities, applying accounting principles and university policies to support accuracy of financial data for the department, and completing financial transactions.

Full salary range: $33.92 - $49.61 per hour. Base salary offers are based on education, licensure, certifications, experience and business needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization to accept a UCR staff position. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

All employees are required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time.

  • Knowledge of finance policies, practices and systems.
  • Team orientation, adaptability to changing priorities, and strong interpersonal skills at all levels.
  • Attention to detail, multitasking ability, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to gather, organize, and perform basic financial analysis assignments.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and database software for moderately complex financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports.
  • Intermediate knowledge of internal control practices and their impact on protecting University resources.
  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely both in writing and verbally.
