How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse t eam of unique individuals who all make an impact . As a Financial Analyst , you will manage the development of Electric Heat’ s quarterly financial forecast, drive the annual budgeting and strategic plan processes, and play a key role in other processes . You will provide analytical and strategic support to senior management and act as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support ‘optimal’ business decision‑making through forecasting, creating financial budgets, and models, and conducting performance‑based analyses.

Financial and Accounting Support
Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, including but not limited to income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and budget reports
Work closely with senior management to model medium to long‑term financial forecasts to align with the Company’s strategic plans
Collaborate with the finance and accounting teams across Electric Heat to develop and monitor forecasts
Support business partners by providing financial insights and analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities
P artner with senior management to solve business challenges and identify opportunities to improve financial performance through analytical support
Run annual budgets and forecasts, including the roll‑out of regular re‑forecasting cycles and procedures
Corporate Expense
Reconcile and review financial results against budget/forecast and prior year
Update forecasts
Identify and explain variances to provide insights to senior management/leaders
Partner with Corporate Accounting and Department leaders to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
Standard Reporting and Documentation
Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term planning process
Create financial statements and other financial analyses for review
Prepare, analyze, and distribute weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports to be used for predictive modelling, and identify drivers of business results
Track the performance of business units, segments, and the Company against forecasts
Monitor market and business‑specific key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances
Manage capital expenditure approval process
Maintain and update bonus and performance‑based compensation model
Develop presentations to communicate the Company’s results and forecasts to the investor community, the Company’s Board of Directors, senior management, and other key stakeholders
Drive, develop, and improve standard processes and procedures by identifying trends, anomalies, inefficiencies, and gaps in financial processes
Provide actionable recommendations to address challenges, streamline processes, increase productivity, and improve financial performance
Assist with the development, documentation, implementation, and continual improvement of financial policies and procedures
Take an active role in the broader Finance team; facilitating smooth implementation of –and adherence to– new finance requirements, systems, and processes
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to accounting and finance
Participate in other projects (as assigned), that relate to the overall goals of the department and enterprise
What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

Required Experience
2 to 5 years of applicable experience
FP&A experience within a publicly traded company and/or manufacturing company
Experience with OneStream, or other financial consolidation platforms
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Desire to get into the details and put the “A” in FP&A
Work as a business partner in delivering better decision support and enabling strategic initiatives that help improve the organization’s financial performance
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Proficient financial modeling, analytical skills, and strong attention to detail as well as strong business acumen
Able to present results to diverse audiences and communicate effectively (with all levels of the organization)
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to work with complex financial data
Strong knowledge of planning and performance processes, including annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and periodic business reviews
Strong communication, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner
Capacity to lead and manage others and work cross‑functionally
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Continuous improvement mindset, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements
Strong working knowledge of accounting, and finance operations.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
