Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking a Financial Aid Administrator to guide students through the financial aid process and ensure compliant, timely packaging of aid. You will report to the Director of Financial Aid and collaborate with other departments to support students and families.

Responsibilities include verification, disbursements, award packaging, counseling, auditing, and staying current with federal regulations. We value accuracy, service, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• At least 2+ years of Financial Aid experience preferred.
• CampusVue experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Processing verification and disbursements.
• Award state and federal aid to eligible students per regulations.
• Counsel students and parents through the aid process.
• Provide estimates and packaging information.
• Manage default prevention and financial literacy programs.
• Handle auditing and reporting tasks.
• Run reports to ensure work integrity.
• Collaborate with other departments to assist students.
• Maintain up-to-date information on federal regulations.
• Assist with private loans and VA benefits packaging.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Purpose of the Position: As our Financial Aid Administrator (FAA), you will meet and communicate with current, prospective and alumni students to guide them through the financial aid process. As an FAA, you will report directly to the Director of Financial Aid. You will be responsible for administering, determining eligibility, and processing student financial aid to maintain positive cash flow, in addition to other related tasks for the financial aid department.

• Processing Verification and Disbursements

• Provides estimates and packaging information
• Default Management and Financial Literacy programs
• Auditing
• Running reports to ensure work integrity
• Interacting with other departments to assist students
• Maintaining up to date information on new federal regulations
• Assisting with Private Loans
• Packaging VA benefits
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 2+ years of Financial Aid experience preferred
• Campus VUE experience preferred
• Computer knowledge is recommended, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills
• Attention to detail with the capability to multi-task
