The University of Southern California's Office of Financial Aid is seeking an experienced and student-centered professional to join its team as a Financial Aid Program Manager I. This role oversees staff and day-to-day operations of an assigned financial aid program, ensuring services and decisions comply with applicable policies.

Reporting to Associate Dean, the manager will provide operational leadership, supervise and develop staff, resolve complex aid matters, and collaborate with campus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial aid counseling or supervisory role.
  • Lead or supervisory experience in financial aid counseling.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee staff and day-to-day operations of an assigned financial aid program or unit.
  • Counsel students, applicants, and families regarding eligibility, awards, policies, and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, institutional, and university policies and regulations in all processes.
  • Develop, administer, and monitor the assigned program budget.
  • Coordinate data-management systems and ensure data quality and reporting integrity.
  • Collaborate with campus partners and external agencies to provide accurate, timely information.
