Position Summary:
Join the University of Dayton's Strategic Enrollment Management Division as a Financial Aid Compliance Counselor! Are you passionate about ensuring students have access to the financial resources they need to pursue their educational dreams? The University of Dayton, a top-tier Catholic research university, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic Financial Aid team.

Enrollment Management is focused on service excellence to recruit, enroll, and graduate highly qualified students and improve access, affordability, diversity, inclusion, and success. The Financial Aid Compliance Counselor is responsible for reviewing FAFSA applications, determining and adjusting all types of financial assistance, and exercising professional judgment. Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid Initiatives and Compliance, the Compliance Counselor supports compliance and service within the Office of Financial Aid to ensure students and families have an excellent experience. The counselor will execute various updates to student financial aid records, including ISIR review, tuition remission, GA contract review, and review of documents including those related to federal verification. This position also identifies, recommends, and implements process changes to improve compliance, operations, and service. Additionally, this individual is responsible for leading and contributing to projects that drive the success of the office, including the creation of yearly electronic financial aid forms and management of state aid programs.
This individual is expected to use problem-solving skills daily and maintain strong collaborative relationships to fulfill the duties of the position. Additional responsibilities include updating processes and procedures, leading training sessions, counseling students during peak periods, and working collaboratively with our Flyer Student Services office.
