Summary:

Responsible for providing general financial aid knowledge and overviews to students, developing and finalizing financial plans in accordance with policies and regulations, and guiding students and parents through the application process.

Ensure the delivery of quality services, support employee development, and foster an environment of innovation and growth.

Key Job Elements:
  1. Collaborate with Admission Representatives to serve prospective students and parents.
  2. Package financial aid for assigned students, including new, continuing, re-entry, and transfer students.
  3. Guide students on the financial aid process, including required documentation.
  4. Create and communicate financial plans, explaining rights and responsibilities.
  5. Assist with alternative financing options for students.
  6. Ensure completeness and accuracy of student files and timely aid disbursement.
  7. Review ISIRs, perform verification, and handle C Code reviews.
  8. Use reports to analyze and prioritize workload.
  9. Provide excellent customer service, calming students and parents, and articulating aid status.
  10. Assist with training and mentoring new and existing advisors.
  11. Support the development of supervisory and management skills.
  12. Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree with 5+ years of related experience, or 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in financial aid or accounting.
  • Customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present to groups and interact individually.
  • Multi-tasking, independent work, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and financial aid software (Campus Vue/Campus Nexus preferred).
