The Financial Aid Advisor position provides outstanding financial aid advising and customer service via telephone, e-mail,virtual, and in person to students and families regarding financial aidapplication, eligibility, awards, processes, guidelines, and technicalregulations. This position is responsible for assisting with major financialaid processes and will be assigned to support specific financial aid programs.The successful incumbent will have excellent customer service and interpersonalskills, exercising strong organizational and time-management skills withexceptional attention to detail. Essential for this role is the adeptness towork independently, be personable, respectful, as well as part of acollaborative team. SFA advisors play a critical role in the success andengagement of students and assist with recruitment efforts and outreach,student retention, and providing access to Alamo Colleges. Ability to learn anduse moderately complex manual and computerized student information systems (Banner)to manage and update student records

Outside working hours if other than M-F 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Able to work at any of the five Alamo Colleges or at the District Office location and work until 7:00 PM when needed and some Saturdays from 9:00 AM -1:00 PM.
