Herzing University in the South Region is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to support students with financial aid funding. The role involves counseling on FAFSA, determining eligibility for Title IV funds, scholarships, and state funding, and processing awards.
On-the-job training and opportunities for career growth are provided. Strong customer service, organization, and communication skills are essential for success in this on-site position.
A 40-hour schedule will be determined based on business needs Monday-Friday between 8am and 5pm with one later shift scheduled until 6pm. There will be the occasional need for weekend hours. This role will be on-site supporting Herzing University’s South Region.
The Financial Aid Advisor supports Herzing University’s mission through administration of financial aid funding for the University’s students. This role requires strong customer service and attention to detail. This individual may work directly with students, providing counseling and assistance on all aspects of the financial aid process, or the individual may work to package, process, and award financial aid funds. Financial Advisors receive onboarding support through our On-the-Job Training Program and have opportunity for growth by means of our Career Pathways.
Compensation is determined based on the qualifications, experience, and circumstances of each hire. It is uncommon for new employees to start near the top of the salary range. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a tuition waiver and reimbursement program, health insurance, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan with company match. The hourly pay range for this position is $20.54 to $27.78 (Associate level) or $21.74 to $29.41 (Advisor level).
