Year Up United seeks motivated professionals for our Financial Advisor Training Program in Pittsburgh, PA. You will learn financial planning, budgeting, credit, and investing concepts while supporting participants on their journey to economic mobility.

Under supervision, you’ll assist with coaching sessions, prepare learning materials, track participant progress, and analyze basic financial data. You’ll collaborate with instructors and corporate partners in a hybrid, full-time setting.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge in personal finance and budgeting.
• Understanding of basic investment concepts and cash flow.
• Awareness of credit and debt management principles.
• Familiarity with data entry and recordkeeping practices.
• Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets for tracking data.
• Strong client service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of financial literacy concepts and compliance basics.
• Ability to support presentations and workshops.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of financial literacy and advising curriculum to young adults
• Assist with budgeting, credit, and basic investment coaching under supervision
• Prepare learning materials, tools, and resources for workshops and classes
• Track and document participant progress and outcomes in program systems
• Conduct basic financial data analysis and produce simple reports
• Collaborate with instructors, coaches, and corporate partners on program delivery
• Maintain confidentiality and follow compliance and ethical guidelines
• Participate in training, feedback, and continuous learning activities
• Provide high-quality customer service and respond to participant questions
• Contribute to an inclusive, equity-driven, and mission-focused culture
