Job Description:

The Transitional Financial Advisor (TFA) role is a three-year program with a draw, for financial advisors or planners who will be providing financial planning guidance & selling investment management solutions.

A Transitional FA will need to leverage their experience to service the unique and complex needs of clients in the Mass Affluent (MA) segment by identifying needs, reviewing financial goals and making investment recommendations aligned to their client's goals. The role will serve as the central point of contact, responsible for providing client service & developing the relationship to achieve greater share of wallet by helping clients achieve their goals related to asset accumulation, preservation, growth, and protection.

Responsibilities include:
  • Selling investments and providing financial plans
  • Delivering legendary customer service during every interaction
  • Ensuring complete onboarding for new clients, including discovery, needs analysis, and documentation
  • Partnering for lead generation
  • Managing goals, prioritizing tasks, and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Providing a comprehensive MA Planning Experience to all clients
  • Conducting Annual Client Reviews with an enhanced focus on wealth needs
  • Serving as the primary contact for MA clients and managing relationships with TD Bank and other partners
  • Implementing a differentiated service model for MA clients
  • Meeting sales goals quarterly and annually
  • Deepening wallet share by anticipating needs and suggesting solutions
  • Referring business to Retail and Commercial Partners as appropriate
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Adhering to all federal, state, SRO regulations, and TD policies
  • Maintaining Continuing Education requirements
  • Understanding and implementing TD’s Customer Identification Program
  • Transitioning higher threshold clients to HNW partners as needed
  • Fostering a positive team environment
  • Providing coaching and training to staff
  • Representing TD Wealth professionally and engaging in community initiatives
Qualifications:
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years selling investments and financial planning success
  • Knowledge of investment products and services
  • Required Registrations: SIE, Series 7, and Series 65/66 (or obtaining 63/66 within schedule)
  • Life/Health Licenses or ability to obtain
  • Strong business development skills and industry knowledge
  • Proven sales achievement
  • Proficiency in retail and small business banking
  • Ability to travel within the market up to 75%
  • Driver’s License required
