Job summary

This role is designed for established advisors that have their own clients/book of business. Compensation is fully fee based (on AUM).

The qualified individuals will:

  • Have a current book of business (preferred $5+ million of AUM)
  • Display the ability to be a self-starter/entrepreneur
  • Work remotely while remaining motivated and accountable
  • Possess a highly interpersonal skillset
  • Have the key competencies required to be a successful Financial Advisor
  • Provide client solutions in a fiduciary capacity
  • Have 5+ years of financial services experience

Requirements:

  • FINRA Series 65 OR FINRA Series 7, 66, and Securities Industry Essentials Exams (SIE), required*
  • Must be a citizen of the United States
  • Must reside in the United States

*Other professional certifications may qualify

Transition Support

oRemote onboarding for new IAR’s

oFor your current clients/AUM, we will assist you in transitioning your clients to Charles Schwab if applicable

Overrides, Practice Acquisitions & Buyouts

oKnow of other advisors who are looking for this flexibility and freedom? Great, bring them to WMG and earn override payouts on their production

oIf you help identify and bring on board a firm acquisition, we’re happy to let you buy into the deal

oBuy increments of 10% (up to 70%) in which you will own that portion of acquired clients

Succession Planning

oIn the event of your death, we will buy your book of business for fair market value and pay your family or ensure your existing succession plan is carried out

Compensation Structure:

1099 Independent Contractor

Payouts = 90% of fees charged to your AUM (WMG retains 10%)

Referrals: if you help bring on a new WMG advisor you can earn a 2% override on their production

oExample: They received 90% payout = you get 2% + WMG gets 8%

oOverrides will only apply to advisors that are approved by WMG and may be subject to limitations

Other compensation may apply to IAR’s (e.g. flat fee planning, commissions, etc.) and will be discussed in further detail during the onboarding process.
