Job summary

Northwestern Mutual in Midtown Manhattan seeks a Financial Advisor to build relationships with individuals, families and businesses and to deliver a full portfolio of financial products and services including planning, investments and insurance.

No prior financial services experience is required as training is provided; you’ll train for 3 weeks and work with an experienced mentor to accelerate early success and client work.

Qualifications

• Experience in a client/customer-facing role (sales, client relations, etc.).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must live in the Tri-State Area (commutable to Midtown Manhattan office).
• Must commit to a full-time, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm work schedule.

Responsibilities

• New Business Development: establishing relationships with new clients through leads, referrals, and calls.
• Client Financial Advisory: meeting with clients to discuss financial planning, insurance, investment management, and other services.
• Delivery of customized financial plans to help clients achieve their financial goals.
• Day-to-day client relationship management.
