If you are at a professional crossroads, a career as a financial advisor may be the right change for you. Financial advisors partner with clients to help them achieve their long-term financial goals such as retirement, wealth building, estate strategies, and funding education. As a financial advisor with Edward Jones, you'll develop and grow your own practice, supported by your branch team, a home-office team, and other regional advisors. With over 100 years of history, we are proud to serve more clients through our offices in the U.S. and Canada than any other investment firm.

Our financial advisors are valued partners, and we credit much of our success to their diverse experiences and professional backgrounds. We foster an inclusive environment where different viewpoints help achieve results. Advisors lead their branch teams to serve clients and contribute to the firm's purpose. They understand client goals deeply, which helps build trust and keeps clients on track. Edward Jones aims to positively impact clients' lives and enable advisors to make a difference in their communities.

Support and Benefits

We provide comprehensive support, including:

  • Paid training to get registered and licensed, with top industry training programs.
  • A salary for the first five years as you build your practice.
  • A firm-provided branch office in your community.
  • Branch support to help manage your workload and focus on clients.
  • A support network extending from your branch to the regional and home office levels.

Additional benefits include:

  • Unlimited earning potential based on your effort.
  • Opportunities for commissions, profit sharing, and incentive travel.
  • Flexible scheduling to balance personal and professional life.
  • Ongoing professional development and a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships and acquire new clients through various sourcing strategies, including face-to-face, virtual, social media, and speaking engagements.
  • Understand clients' needs and goals to develop personalized strategies that foster trust and help achieve their objectives.
  • Oversee branch processes to ensure a high-quality, compliant client experience.
  • Engage the team to create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan for growth.
  • Foster an environment of trust, respect, feedback, and accountability within the branch.

Edward Jones has been recognized for excellence in training for 25 consecutive years, ranked No. 17 on Training magazine's 2025 Training APEX awards.

As your assets and commissions increase over the first five years, your salary will gradually decrease.

Benefits

Our benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, voluntary benefits, disability income, life insurance, a 401k plan, and tax-advantaged accounts. Advisors enjoy schedule flexibility, paid sick leave, paid time off, potential bonuses, profit sharing, and participation in travel programs. Additional support includes employee assistance programs and paid parental leave where applicable.

Compensation

Our new compensation program supports your growth, including trainee pay, a supplemental salary for up to five years, commissions, and new asset-based earnings. The starting range for supplemental salary is $45,000 - $100,000. For detailed information, please see the [New Financial Advisors Compensation](#) link.
