- Provide comprehensive financial planning services to members and prospective members using a goals-based advisory approach
- Evaluate member financial situations, assets, liabilities, objectives, risk tolerance, and time horizons to develop personalized financial strategies
- Recommend investment and insurance solutions aligned with members' financial goals
- Conduct portfolio reviews and ongoing financial planning discussions
- Educate members on investment principles, retirement planning, wealth accumulation, risk management, and financial planning topics
- Build trusted relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service
- Achieve production goals and service objectives for assigned branches and book of business
- Develop relationships with current and prospective members through referrals, networking, and proactive outreach
- Partner with branch teams to identify financial planning opportunities
- Conduct financial planning seminars, workshops, and educational events
- Maintain member contact to identify emerging needs and additional advisory opportunities
- Manage sales activities, pipeline development, and follow-up efforts
- Represent LMCU within the communities and markets served
- Coach and train branch employees on identifying member needs and referral opportunities
- Support branch sales strategies, financial planning discussions, and member education initiatives
- Collaborate with Mortgage, Business Banking, Premier Banking, Consumer Lending, and other business lines
- Coordinate referrals and information sharing across the organization
- Follow broker/dealer, insurance company, and organizational policies and procedures
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, licensing requirements, BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC, and industry standards
- Support sound risk management practices
Requirements
- Three to five years of financial advisory, wealth management, investment, or related financial services experience required
- Demonstrated success developing client relationships and achieving sales and production goals
- Experience providing comprehensive financial planning, investment, and insurance recommendations preferred
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
- Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses required
- Series 65 or 66 license required
- Life and Health Insurance licenses required
- Strong understanding of financial planning, investment products, retirement planning, and insurance solutions
- Knowledge of financial markets, portfolio management principles, and risk assessment methodologies
- Proficiency with financial planning software, CRM tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to analyze complex financial situations and provide appropriate recommendations
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation
