Qualifications

  • 3+ years in financial services with knowledge of economy, markets and financial planning principles.
  • Progress toward or completed CFP designation.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Series 65, Life, Accident and Health licenses.
  • Experience using financial planning software and CRM.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Advisor in providing investment and financial planning advice to clients.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, reports and materials for client reviews.
  • Handle client calls and money movement requests; maintain client service records.
  • Meet with clients alongside Senior Advisor and present company investment strategies.
  • Explain investments and financial planning topics; provide ongoing client education.

Job description

Growing financial advisory practice seeks an energetic, organized and financially minded individual with a high level of professionalism to become a part of our team. Initially this is a support role with a fast-track opportunity to grow into a Senior Financial Advisor position within 5 years. Individual will work with the Senior Financial Advisor to provide investment and financial planning advice, to meet the needs of existing and new clients. Candidate should expect to work with financial planning software, build tailored portfolios, maintain contact and service clients, and handle associated paperwork and other administrative tasks. The candidate should be highly professional, motivated to learn and advance, be detail oriented and able to work independently, as well as part of the team. The ideal candidate will be committed to high quality customer service and be self- motivated. Corporate office is located in Needham, MA and same-day travel throughout New England (primarily Massachusetts and Rhode Island) will be required.

Administrative
  • Prepare new account paperwork and open accounts.
  • Process completed paperwork and ensure all applications, documents, forms are accurate and complete.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, reports, and materials for client review meetings.
  • Handle incoming client calls and requests for money movements, etc.
  • Manage, research, and resolve client service requests.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with maximum discretion.
Client Interaction
  • Meet with clients alongside Senior Advisor to provide advice during meetings.
  • Apply company investment strategies and fiduciary management standards to meet the needs of prospect and client accounts.
  • Hold client meetings including taking on prospective clients and handling client reviews.
  • Maintain contact with clients and help them to understand their investments.
  • Provide ongoing education to clients on investments and various financial planning topics.
Requirements Include:
  • Three or more years in the financial service industry with a strong understanding of the economy, markets, and financial planning principles.
  • Progress towards or completed CFP designation.
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year institution.
  • Organization skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Series 65 (or acceptable equivalent), Life, Accident and Health License.
  • Experience using financial planning software.
  • Competent in MS Office and Salesforce or other CRM software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and pleasant, positive demeanor.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sales and presentation experience.
