Build the Next Chapter of Your Financial Advisory Career

Are you a Financial Advisor or Financial Planning professional looking for the opportunity to take on increasingly complex client relationships while developing into a senior-level advisor?

Our client is a highly established and growing wealth management firm that has helped more than 2,500 clients pursue their ideal financial lives through a proven, client-focused financial planning process.

They are seeking a Senior Financial Advisor to join their team in a unique three-year development opportunity designed to prepare the right individual to take on long-term ownership of relationships with high-net-worth clients.

This is more than a traditional advisor role. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, gain exposure to sophisticated financial planning and investment strategies, and progressively assume greater responsibility for client relationships over a structured three-year transition.

The Opportunity

The Senior Financial Advisor will work directly alongside the firm’s Director of Financial Planning and an experienced Senior Financial Advisor.

Over three years, you’ll receive mentorship, technical development, and increasing responsibility for client relationships, financial planning, investment recommendations, and portfolio management.

The goal is to develop you into a trusted senior resource who can independently serve sophisticated clients while playing an important role in the continued growth and success of the advisory team.

What You’ll Do
Year 1: Development & Alignment

During your first year, you’ll build a strong foundation in the firm’s approach to financial planning and client service.

You will:

  • Work closely with senior leadership to gain deeper technical financial planning experience.
  • Strengthen your investment and portfolio management knowledge.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the firm’s financial planning philosophy, processes, and standards.
  • Support the development and maintenance of comprehensive financial plans.
  • Build proficiency with financial planning software and reporting tools.
  • Participate in client meetings and relationship management alongside senior advisors.
  • Learn the nuances of serving high-net-worth clients and managing complex planning needs.

As you gain experience and confidence, you’ll begin taking on greater ownership of client relationships.

You will:

  • Assume increasing responsibility for complex client relationships.
  • Help ensure consistency and quality in financial plans and investment recommendations.
  • Begin leading client meetings independently, with senior leadership available for support and guidance.
  • Take a more active role in developing and presenting financial planning recommendations.
  • Continue strengthening client relationships and contributing to retention and asset growth.
  • Serve as an increasingly valuable resource to clients and members of the advisory team.
Year 3: Advanced Leadership

By your third year, you’ll operate with significantly greater independence and leadership responsibility.

You will:

  • Serve as a senior point of contact for clients.
  • Independently manage increasingly sophisticated client relationships.
  • Provide leadership and guidance throughout the financial planning process.
  • Deliver thoughtful financial planning and investment recommendations aligned with client goals.
  • Act as a senior resource to both clients and the broader advisory team.
  • Continue building long-term relationships that support client retention and asset growth.
What Success Looks Like

Throughout the three-year development period, you’ll be expected to demonstrate strong performance across several key areas, including:

  • Building trusted, long-term client relationships.
  • Supporting exceptional client retention and service.
  • Developing high-quality financial plans and recommendations.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of financial planning software and processes.
  • Contributing to asset growth and the continued expansion of client relationships.
  • Demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and strong communication.
  • Maintaining a high level of attention to compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Consistently delivering an exceptional client experience.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than simply managing a book of business.

You’ll have the chance to:

  • Work directly with experienced senior financial planning leadership.
  • Develop deep expertise in comprehensive financial planning.
  • Gain increasing responsibility for high-net-worth client relationships.
  • Follow a clearly defined three-year path toward greater independence and leadership.
  • Receive mentorship while building the skills needed to become a trusted senior advisor.
  • Join an established firm with a proven process and a substantial client base.
  • Make a meaningful long-term impact on clients and the advisory team.
Ideal Background

The ideal candidate is a motivated financial services professional who is passionate about building lasting client relationships and continuing to develop as a financial planning professional.

You may be a strong fit if you bring:

  • Experience in financial advising, wealth management, or comprehensive financial planning.
  • A strong understanding of investment management and portfolio strategies.
  • Experience working directly with clients and building trusted relationships.
  • The ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly and confidently.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A desire to take on increasing leadership responsibility over time.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from experienced advisors.
  • A commitment to professionalism, accountability, compliance, and exceptional client service.
