Job summary

UMB Financial Corporation in Leawood, KS seeks a dynamic Wealth Management professional to drive proactive sales, business development, and ongoing client relationships for investment services including mutual funds, insurance, and advisory accounts.

You will establish sales plans, convey UMB’s investment process, collaborate with service teams, and develop long-term client objectives. Requires 7+ years of financial advisory experience, FINRA licenses, and a college degree.

  • 7 years financial advisor or investment sales experience.
  • FINRA Series 7, 63, 65 or 66 licenses.
  • State Life and Health Insurance license or obtained within 120 days of employment.

Job description

Proactive sales, business development, and ongoing relationship involvement with prospects and clients for investment (brokerage, insurance, and investment advisory) services. Establish and execute sales plan to convey UMB’s investment process and products to targeted prospects and clients. Develop and build long term relationships with prospective clients. Partner with all members of service team to assist clients to achieve and/or exceed defined long-term objectives. Other duties as assigned. Products include, but not limited to: mutual funds, variable and fixed insurance products, CDs, UITs, fixed income and equity securities, managed accounts such as mutual fund wrap accounts, SMAs, UMAs, affiliated IA programs and investment advisory and trust accounts managed by UMB BankRequirementsMINIMUM:7 years financial advisor or investment sales experience or any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent backgroundCollege Degree or equivalent experienceLicenses: FINRA Series 7, 63, 65 or 66.
