Job description

About the Opportunity

A growing independent wealth management firm in the Metro West Denver area is looking to add a Financial Advisor to its team as part of a structured path toward becoming a Lead Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity for an advisor who enjoys the relationship side of wealth management and wants to continue developing their planning expertise without joining an environment centered around constant prospecting or transactional sales. The firm takes a highly collaborative approach to serving clients and provides advisors with experienced mentorship, established planning resources, operational support, and opportunities to take on greater client responsibility over time.

You'll work directly with individuals and families on comprehensive financial planning while learning alongside experienced advisors and building deeper expertise across retirement planning, investments, tax considerations, risk management, and long-term wealth strategies.

What You'll Do
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with individuals and families while gaining a thorough understanding of their financial goals, concerns, and priorities.
  • Conduct discovery and review meetings and guide clients through ongoing financial planning conversations.
  • Develop personalized financial plans covering retirement, investments, cash flow, insurance, tax-efficient strategies, and estate planning considerations.
  • Provide proactive recommendations as clients' circumstances, goals, and market conditions evolve.
  • Participate in portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment strategy discussions.
  • Help clients navigate retirement income and distribution strategies.
  • Monitor client accounts and partner with operations and service teams to ensure recommendations are implemented accurately.
  • Maintain regular client communication through meetings, calls, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Collaborate closely with senior advisors, planning professionals, operations, and compliance.
  • Participate in structured mentorship, training, and professional development as you progress toward greater advisory responsibility.
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, investment advisory, or a related financial services environment.
  • Active Series 65 or Series 7 & 66 licensing required.
  • Insurance licensing is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of retirement planning, investments, insurance, and tax-aware financial strategies.
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in developing lasting client relationships.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple client priorities.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively within a team-oriented advisory environment.
  • Experience with CRM and financial planning technology is preferred.
  • CFP® coursework or an interest in pursuing the CFP® designation is highly encouraged.
Why Consider This Opportunity?

This role offers more than simply managing a book of business. It's designed for someone who wants to develop into a more senior advisor over time while benefiting from mentorship and an established support structure. The firm offers a structured advisor development program, a long-term path into senior advisory responsibilities, established planning and operational resources, a collaborative culture, and a flexible hybrid environment.

For an advisor who enjoys financial planning, client relationships, and helping families make thoughtful long-term financial decisions, this is an opportunity to build a career within a firm where the focus is on developing advisors and serving clients well—not simply making the next sale.
