Job description

The Financial Accounting & Taxation Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial accounting operations and ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and international tax regulations. This role leads monthly and year-end close processes, manages tax filings and audits, ensures accuracy of financial statements, and partners cross-functionally to support strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, deep tax knowledge, and proven leadership experience in a corporate or multinational environment.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with company policies.
  • Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate governance standards, and audit requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits; serve as the primary point of contact for auditors.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain and improve accounting processes, systems, and documentation to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Taxation
  • Manage all corporate tax matters, including federal, state, local, and international tax compliance.
  • Prepare, review, and file income tax returns, sales and use tax, property tax, and other statutory filings.
  • Oversee tax provisions and deferred tax calculations.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and assess impact on the business.
  • Support tax audits, inquiries, and correspondence with tax authorities.
  • Identify tax planning opportunities to optimize compliance and minimize risk.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in financial accounting and taxation.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax regulations.
  • Experience managing audits and working with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Work environment and other requirements

The work environment is a non-smoking office environment. No heavy lifting is required. Mostly sitting with computer and phone usage. Accommodation can be made for handicapped employees. Travel only on an “as needed” basis. Travel is expected to be less than 10%.
